So you adopted a cat!
Congratulations on the addition of your brand new family member. Here we hope you will find these resources helpful as you begin this new journey together with your beloved cat.
Still need to complete your pet’s adoption fee?
Here are some helpful resources for owning a new kitty:
We highly recommend getting pet health insurance. Most of our adopters love having it. God forbid something comes up in your cat’s life, it can cost extreme amounts of money. Pet insurance (like people's) will cover the majority of it so you'll never have to make a life or death decision based on money. It can be a true live saver!
Pet Insurance brand we like include Trusted Pals and Healthy Paws.
Take a look at this list of poisonous items for cats and dogs. It has information on lists such as human foods, household products, and plants that are poisonous to cats. The plant list is very helpful!

SAFETY!
Never leave a window open in your home that does not have a secure screen or bars.
Do not let your cat outside. We want all of our cats to remain indoor only.
Do not declaw your cat, as part of its adoption it’s mandatory that this procedure is not allowed.
Watch for your cat when you open the front door to your home. Some cats might be sneaky and try to dart out!
If traveling or going to stay somewhere else with your cat, make sure they are wearing a tagged kitty collar in case they ever get loose and make sure the microchip if applicable is registered.
Keep your kitty safe, happy, and healthy! They are lucky to have you as their new owner.
